SKA TREK

Ska Trek are a 9-piece Ska band from Brighton, UK. The band, a brainchild of Amaziah Davis, was originally formed in 2020, but then C19 hit and we all had to hide for a while.

Now it is time to get the show back on the road so the band are working on their debut album, Project Genesis, that they plan to launch in September, 2025 at a launch party in the Brighton area.

The band’s unique brand of entertainment fuses original wave, 1960's Ska with well known film and tv music as well melodies that are embedded in the human consciousness. Tunes such as The Star Trek Theme, (obviously), The Magnificent Seven, Dr Who, The Final Countdown, Sussex By The Sea and The Dambusters, Simmer Down – and that’s just the first album. The tunes have already been selected to receive the ska treatment and be ska-ified for subsequent albums ‘Tribble-ations’, ‘Praxis’ and ‘Pon Farr’, (Star Trek fans will recognize the names).

The band consists of a collection of fun loving ska aficionados who are at the top of their musical game and who know each other from numerous bands and musical projects in and around Brighton. They were chosen to be a part of this project because they are all consummate professionals.

With boisterous performances combined with huge swathes of audience participation, the band will make you want to dance, sing and shake your thang and get down to tunes you never thought you would be dancing to. 

Now hailed as Brighton's most fun band by The Evening Argus, Horse & Hounds magazine, Good Housekeeping magazine and King Charles....ummm...maybe not!

Ska Trek members have performed in over 1000 cities around the UK and the world and have even performed at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
